Many of you have expressed interest in reading the reports when they come out. That is so exciting! I've started this blog to keep you informed about how the Peer Provider Stress Survey is progressing.
You might ask, why is that? Data collection is almost over, so now it's just a matter of clicking around in some programs and crunching numbers, right?
Well, not quite. :) Research projects...they tend to take a bit of time. This project, for example, took over a year to formally design, after kicking around in my brain for about two years prior to that! Once all the responses are collected, there are several more steps to take before I have report-ready results.
This summer, I'll spend a bunch of time "cleaning" data, meaning that I'm preparing response items for analysis. I'll tell you more about that later. As that wraps up, I'll start with the primary analyses planned as part of the dissertation project, and eventually move into secondary "bonus" analyses. Peer support providers who participated in the study shared a LOT of valuable information, and there are many questions that can be answered with the dataset. Throughout this process I'll have some preliminary results to share here. I expect that reports will start coming out by mid-2019.

Hi, I'm Stephania! I investigate job-related stress in peer support providers, and write about my work here.
